Plastic That Can Heal Itself

Chemical engineers from the University of Michigan have created a plastic that can heal itself. When shot by a bullet, a liquid flows out of the open hole and automatically plugs up the hole.

In the real world, NASA is trying to make space suits that repair itself. In space, like the book "The Martian", when a space suit is punctured, the scenario is normally not good.

But with a self-healing material, the suit can heal itself and the astronaut won't be in a terrible scenario.
